Beautiful location. Very comfortable rooms, warm, clean, amazing views. Very lovely shared areas - living room and kitchen. Was very handy to have a microwave and fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely host, Emma and her dog, Moya. We really enjoyed our stay and 100% recommend that other people experience this. What an absolutely spectacular place to stay! The house is charming, spotless, and feels lovingly cared for, with beds so comfortable you melt right into them after a day exploring. Onich village itself is quintessential Highlands—tiny, welcoming, and surrounded by breathtaking wilderness—with a serene loch just a few minutes’ walk away, perfect for watersports or just drinking in the view. It’s the perfect retreat to truly get away from it all and recharge. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

What a magical, hidden treasure Cuilcheanna House is. We spent a couple of nights here whilst exploring and hiking in the area. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, cosy and great value but the spectacular view from the window is what makes this such a gem. I can't recommend highly enough. Thanks Emma we will definitely be back for more!

Staying here was absolutely magical. The house was so beautifully decorated and all the extra touches made it obvious a lot of love and care has gone into the renovation. The showers are amazing! The whole vibe is incredibly relaxing and the beauty of the highlands is right on the doorstep. Perfect spot to explore from. Will definitely be going back and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I honestly don’t have words to describe how amazing this place is. We’re a Spanish couple, and I was looking for a truly special place to stay the night, as I was proposing to my future wife that same day. My expectations were already very high — and yet this place managed to surpass them. The house and our room were decorated beautifully. We stayed in the Mull Room, which was simply stunning: very spacious, with a perfect bed, a brand-new bathroom with a walk-in shower, and the best part — breathtaking views of the lake. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional: everything was freshly prepared, high-quality, and delicious, with plenty of variety. A very special mention goes to Emma, the host and owner. She made the whole experience even more memorable. She knew how special this day was for us and even surprised us with flowers. This is without doubt one of the best places we’ve ever stayed and it truly deserves the highest recommendation. Thanks Emma you rock!

Situated well away from the busy road, this peaceful gem of a place is the absolute dream. It has recently been thoughtfully & tastefully renovated so everything feels new, fresh and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I even investigated the mattress brand so I could buy one for home!), I slept so well and woke to breathtaking views of the loch and mountains beyond. Breakfast included delicious bread, pastries and cookies from a local artisan sourdough bakery as well as yoghurt, granola & fruit - yum! Sustainability has clearly been considered here. I enjoyed a long, hot shower (powered by the woodchip biomass boiler) after my invigorating loch swim. Stay for a few days if you can to enjoy walking, swimming, kayaking etc. Definitely worth taking some time to explore the area. Emma gave us some great suggestions for things to do. We'll be back!

Stayed in one of the lake view rooms & in the morning wow, just wow. The room was fresh, minimalist & in keeping with nature, it was comfortable & I was just as happy relaxing in our room as exploring outside. The new owner, Emma, suggested some nice walks & a pub at walkable distance, but we stayed on the grounds enjoying the Cuilcheanna comforts & it's stunning views. Would love to come back & have a dip the lake, or experience snow here.
